Wallace Sewell Unisex Lambswool Scarf - Maela - Ash

$135

Soft merino unisex lambswool scarf by the renowned British design studio, Wallace Sewell.

The Maela design draws directly from the perspectives within landscape paintings by British artist Fred Ingrams. The elongated triangle structures on the scarves nod to his distinctive visual elements, while substantial solid blocks of color and textured patterns pay homage to the patchwork fields that serve as a focal point in Ingrams' body of work.

Ash is a cool toned color palette of ashy blues and greys, complimented by an occasional copper stripe. Reminiscent of a good pair of jeans!

100% merino lambswool.

21 x 175 cm  (8 x 69")

Made in England.

Wallace Sewell is a UK-Based, British design studio, established over 30 years ago by Harriet Wallace-Jones and Emma Sewell.

The studio seamlessly fuses traditional craftsmanship with modern production, proudly upholding its commitment to manufacturing exclusively in the British Isles.

They have worked together for over thirty years and continue to design in partnership with a strong creative spark that is ever-evolving, always distinctive and consistently recognizable. Combining innovation with practical solutions, Wallace Sewell are known for their use of color, structure, and yarn in surprising geometric formats. Often inspired by paintings, they create individual contemporary fabrics with strikingly bold, asymmetric blocks and stripes of varying scales, which bring together a plethora of elements within one piece.

Strong and proud champions of British design and manufacturing, Wallace Sewell has always had a thoughtful and meticulous approach to production. New ideas are created on handlooms at their studios in London and Dorset which are then woven industrially at a family-run UK textile mill in Lancashire - the perfect fusion of modern design and traditional technique.
