Wallace Sewell Lambswool Scarf - Strathay - Fog
Soft unisex merino lambswool scarf by the renowned British design studio, Wallace Sewell.
Inspired by British painter Fred Ingrams' work, the Strathay design features bold stripes accented with small 'scratch' details scattered throughout, imitating the mark-making found in Ingrams' paintings. The design captures the essence of Ingrams' intricate textural elements, creating a unique and visually striking composition.
Fog features a primary shade of pale grey accented by earthy and autumnal tones. The interplay of seaweed, gold, linen, tobacco, and cocoa, create a harmonious and warming color palette.
100% merino lambswool. Made in England. 21 x 175 cm (8 x 69")
Wallace Sewell is a UK-Based, British design studio, established over 30 years ago by Harriet Wallace-Jones and Emma Sewell.
The studio seamlessly fuses traditional craftsmanship with modern production, proudly upholding its commitment to manufacturing exclusively in the British Isles.
They have worked together for over thirty years and continue to design in partnership with a strong creative spark that is ever-evolving, always distinctive and consistently recognizable. Combining innovation with practical solutions, Wallace Sewell are known for their use of color, structure, and yarn in surprising geometric formats. Often inspired by paintings, they create individual contemporary fabrics with strikingly bold, asymmetric blocks and stripes of varying scales, which bring together a plethora of elements within one piece.
Strong and proud champions of British design and manufacturing, Wallace Sewell has always had a thoughtful and meticulous approach to production. New ideas are created on handlooms at their studios in London and Dorset which are then woven industrially at a family-run UK textile mill in Lancashire - the perfect fusion of modern design and traditional technique.
